Cream of the cultural world
FANS WALKING down Wembley Way today will be greeted by an art installation of cream telephone boxes, as the UK City of Culture team sets out to provide five hours of entertainment in the run up to kick-off.
Fans can step inside one for a visual cultural tour of Hull and in another see the 2017 film, This City Belongs To Everyone.
The programme – a taster of the kind of events the city will put on in 2017 – includes an allfemale cast from Middle Child Theatre Company performing a short interactive piece called The Refs, while city-born opera/crossover singer Leroy Vickers belts out a 20-minute set of songs.
