Hunt weighs up his options

SHADOW EDUCATION Secretary Tristram Hunt has said he is “continuing to listen to colleagues” as he weighed up whether to join the race.

Commenting on speculation he will enter the leadership contest, Mr Hunt said: “We must use this leadership election to ask some very profound questions.

“As today marks the official beginning of the contest, I am continuing to listen to colleagues in the Parliamentary Labour Party on their views on how we rebuild the Labour Party to get us back into government.

“I will join leadership contenders to set out how we begin to understand what went so wrong and why.”
