£2m diversion route opened to public

HULL: Taxpayers have stumped up £2m towards redirecting a path along the River Humber foreshore, which is also part of European Walking Route E8 from Kerry in Ireland to Istanbul, ahead of building work on the new Siemens wind turbine factory.

ABP, which is investing £150m in providing new marine berths, said it would give the public “front row seats as the site develops.”
