False alarm over a mint

-

NINE PUPILS at a Sheffield school have been taken to hospital after one became unwell after eating a mint.

Paramedics and police were called to Forge Valley Community School in Malin Bridge at around 12.45pm yesterday.

That child and a further eight were taken to Sheffield Children’s Hospital as a precaution.

One parent, who asked not to be named, said there had been rumours among children that mints given out at the school had in fact been ecstasy. However ,the school’s head teacher, Dean Barrowclough, said this was not the case.
