Exam success stories deserve wider audience

-

THE SUMMER holidays are now in full swing which means that for thousands of school students across Yorkshire, exam results days are just weeks away.

The Yorkshire Post will be providing comprehensive coverage of both A-levels and GCSE results days in the coming weeks.

Throughout A-level results day, on Thursday August 18, and again on GCSE results da, on Thursday August 25, our website www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/ education will be updated with all the best exam results stories from schools across the region.

And as always, our results specials in the following Fridays of The Yorkshire Post will have a round up of the results being achieved by secondary schools across the region as well as a collection of the most inspiring students success stories and an overview of the national picture.

To help us put this together The Yorkshire Post wants schools across the region to get in touch with our Education Correspondent John Roberts to send both results and stories to feature in the newspaper.

Any schools who are interested in being included and who have not received a letter from The Yorkshire Post explaining how to submit their results should get in touch by emailing john.roberts@ypn. co.uk for more information.

In our A-level results special we feature the first name initial and surname of each student and then each exam that they pass.

If a student gets an A grade it appears with an asterisk and if they get an A* it appears with two asterisks as follows: J Smith eng lit, geog*, hum biol**. For the full list of A-level subject codes used in our supplement please email john.roberts@ypn.co.uk.

In our GCSE results supplement The Yorkshire Post features the first name initial and surname of each student and then the number of GCSE passes they achieve and the number they achieve at C or above which appears in brackets as follows: J Smith 8 (5).
