Candidates not fit to lead

FOLLOWING Jeremy Corbyn’s spat with Virgin East Coast, it is obvious this was a deliberate put up stunt by him and his team accompanying him. He obviously wants the railways to be renationalised, hence the fiasco of sitting on the floor when quite clearly there were plenty of seats available.

This was shown by the security video produced by Virgin, it was nothing more than a staged political stunt. He has not said where he will get the money from to renationalise and, when in state ownership, railways were typically a disaster – like most state-owned businesses.

As for the ongoing animosity between Mr Corbyn and Owen Smith, neither can be trusted to be PM. One is a republican, while the other disagrees with democracy regarding the referendum result on the EU.

Fadingsanta. In the early 90s we were doing work in a primary school in Yorkshire and found damaged asbestos on pipes in the roof. I pulled everyone out until it was inspected and covered. Firm and council inspector went mad at me as it could delay reopening of school after holidays.

Opening was delayed two days and parents also got annoyed with me. I never told them why it happened – to try and make it safe for them. If Rachel wants details, DM me on Twitter.

Sue Scholes Cuthbert. We are told we have gold standards about safety. As well as this, there continues to be safety issues in most industries, usually as a result of human error.

Jayne Dowle: Hunt’s empty slogans and reality of NHS pressures

Terence Hollingworth. As you say Jayne, the Health Secretary hasn’t a clue what is going on, or is it that he is simply being disingenuous and privatising on the sly? I’ve said it on the comments sections before, but I’ll say it again: the UK does not spend enough on the NHS, and that it does spend goes on PFIs, bloated managerial salaries and not on care.

Bernard Ingham: Now tell the defeatists to go take a hike, Mrs May

Dryden Cooper. George Osborne should have resigned on the same morning David Cameron did, never mind waiting for the boot.

Macawber. We need to get out of the EU quickly. Terrorist threats and increasing migrant problems, imminent Austrian and French presidential elections, the Italian banking crisis and growing calls for leaving the EU in other EU countries means now is the time to act decisively!
