Pair arrested over spate of robberies

LEEDS: A man and woman were being quizzed yesterday over a spate of armed robberies in the south of the city.

They were arrested by armed officers from West Yorkshire Police in a pre-planned operation in Sharrow, Sheffield, on Tuesday. A 25-year-old Leeds man and 23-year-old Sheffield woman were held.
