Warning over men posing as police

ROTHERHAM: Residents have been urged to be alert after men posing as police officers tried to commit distraction burglaries.

One incident happened in Thorpe Hesley at about 3pm on Friday, when a man who was with a male accomplice walked uninvited into an 84-year-old woman’s house and told her he was a detective. A second incident took place in Kimberworth just before 2pm on Saturday.
