It was a bad day for BBC news anchor Ben Brown, who received a slap after appearing to touch a woman’s breast as he moved her out of the way during a live interview. Mr Brown was speaking to fellow BBC journalist Norman Smith when the passer-by stood between the pair and said: “Absolutely fantastic.”

Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell is the latest Labour figure to “do a Diane” after he miscalculated the deficit by £16bn in an interview with Radio 4.
