‘Take litter home’ say Park bosses
The National Park Authority is urging people to take extra care and not drop litter ahead of World Environment Day a week today.
Volunteers and staff have held several litter picks across the North York Moors this year, and say in some cases, litter has been dropped within an hour of picks.
It says litter not only looks “unsightly and unpleasant” but presents a threat to wildlife in the national park.
