Town streets to be rejuvenated
DONCASTER COUNCIL has been awarded £1.35m to help rejuvenate two of its streets.
Sheffield City Region has pledged the funding in support of the council’s Quality Streets scheme to improve Hall Gate and Silver Street.
The changes will see Hall Gate transformed into a pedestrianfriendly area, with more space for businesses to have al fresco areas.
Silver Street will become fully pedestrianised with loading bays and the taxi rank removed.
The improvements are part of the wider vision set out in the town’s Urban Centre Masterplan.
