Investigation launched into major fire at depot

BIRSTALL: An investigation was yesterday under way into the cause of a major fire at a West Yorkshire recycling depot.

Dozens of firefighters attended the blaze at the DS Smith site on the Pennine View industrial estate, off Gelderd Road in Birstall, near Batley, on Saturday afternoon, with smoke from the incident visible for miles around.
