Man arrested by armed officers

OTLEY: Armed police were called to a “domestic-related” incident close to a town centre yesterday.

Police confirmed no one was hurt and a 48-year-old man was arrested at a property in Kirkgate, Otley. Inspector Paul Rushton, of West Yorkshire Police, said a “short-term” road closure was put in place while officers dealt with the incident yesterday lunchtime, which caused some traffic disruption.
