Disabled show visitors face disappointment

DISABLED PEOPLE who have arranged for wheelchair or electric scooter hire at this week’s Great Yorkshire Show face disappointment after the company contracted to provide the service went into administration.

Organisers from the Yorkshire Agricultural Society said yesterday that they have been unable to find an alternative supplier after Mobility Hire 4 U went into administration. The organisers estimate about 150 people will have hired wheelchairs or scooters on each day of the three-day show, which starts in Harrogate tomorrow.

A show spokeswoman said: “We have tried to find an alternative supplier but unfortunately at such short notice, this hasn’t proved possible.”

Visitors who have hired wheelchairs and electric scooters directly from Mobility Hire 4 U are urged to contact the administrators SFP Group on 020 7538 2222 or via email at enquiries@ sfpgroup.com.
