Trust takes over doc­tors’ surgery

An NHS trust will pro­vide GP ser­vices for 36,000 pa­tients af­ter tak­ing over its sev­enth doc­tors’ surgery.

Hum­ber Teach­ing NHS Foun­da­tion Trust, which is best known for pro­vid­ing men­tal health ser­vices, has ac­quired the Princes Med­i­cal Cen­tre in Hull.

Trust bosses said the ac­qui­si­tion fol­lowed months of plan­ning and would help tackle health prob­lems in­clud­ing smok­ing, obe­sity, di­a­betes, drug use, anx­i­ety and de­pres­sion.
