£84,000 bill for city’s 209 litter offenders

BRADFORD: More than 200 people have been convicted of littering offences after failing to pay on-thespot penalties issued by council enforcement officers.

Council bosses said more than £84,000 in fines and costs was imposed on 209 people – an average of £400 per person – at two hearings at Bradford Magistrates’ Court in June and July.
