Pilot was 10 times over alcohol limit

A pilot has admitted being almost 10 times over the alcohol limit shortly before a flight was to leave the UK.

Katsutoshi Jitsukawa, 42, was arrested after failing a breath test before Japan Airlines flight JL44 to Tokyo was set to take off from Heathrow Airport.

He pleaded guilty at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court to exceeding the alcohol limit and will be sentenced on November 29.
