Pensioner dead and woman hurt in fire
NORTH LONDON: A pensioner has died and a woman is fighting for her life following a house fire.
The Metropolitan Police said a woman aged around 70 had died after being rescued from the property on St Loy’s Road, Tottenham, yesterday.
Another woman in her 30s remained in hospital in a lifethreatening condition.
The cause of the fire, reported at 10.53am, is still unexplained.
