Record total raised in honour of Ray

-

CHARITY: Supporters of Huddersfield Town have raised almost £65,000 by walking to Burnley’s football ground for the Terriers’ Premier League away match at Turf Moor.

Some 165 fans took part in The Wilson Walk in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Alzheimer’s Society and they raised a record amount in what was a fifth ‘Walk for Pounds’ event held by supporters.

The 2018 walk paid tribute to Huddersfield Town full back and World Cup winner Ray Wilson, who died in May after suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
