1.3m visit city attractions
MORE THAN a million people have visited museums and galleries in Yorkshire’s biggest city this year.
Leeds City Council said there were an estimated 1.3m visitors to its nine attractions during 2018.
Among popular exhibitions was A Woman’s Place? which celebrated the Suffragette movement at Abbey House Museum, 100 years since women won the right to vote.
Leeds Art Gallery also celebrated its 130th anniversary year and venues around the city marked a century since the signing of the armistice agreement at the end of the First World War.
