PM bids to win over Scotland
THE PRIME Minister will today try and persuade leaders from the devolved administrations of Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland to back her Brexit deal.
In a Downing Street meeting of the Joint Ministerial Committee (Plenary), Theresa May will tell officials that businesses from across the UK support the deal negotiated with the EU.
Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has previously claimed the Brexit agreement would be bad for Scotland and her Scottish National Party has pledged to oppose the deal.
Mrs May said last night: “I am confident that what we have agreed delivers for the whole of the UK.”
