Council concern over school deficit

BRADFORD: Councillor­s have demanded answers into what can be done to deal with a school’s spiralling deficit.

Figures predict that Hanson School in Bradford is likely to face a deficit of £4.1m. A report said the school, the Department for Education, the Regional Schools Commission­er and Bradford Council were trying to reduce the deficit. Coun Jeanette Sunderland (Lib Dem, Idle and Thackley) called for a report explaining how the issue was being dealt with.
