Council concern over school deficit
BRADFORD: Councillors have demanded answers into what can be done to deal with a school’s spiralling deficit.
Figures predict that Hanson School in Bradford is likely to face a deficit of £4.1m. A report said the school, the Department for Education, the Regional Schools Commissioner and Bradford Council were trying to reduce the deficit. Coun Jeanette Sunderland (Lib Dem, Idle and Thackley) called for a report explaining how the issue was being dealt with.
