Holiday let to be added to tearoom

YORKSHIRE: A tearoom in a tourist hotspot can be expanded to create a new holiday-let space.

The Glen Tearooms is next to the Old Glen House pub, at Shipley Glen in Baildon, and a plan to build a second floor to the popular cafe was recently submitted to Bradford Council.

Applicant Grubisic Investments said the “modest” one-bed dwelling above the cafe would help secure the cafe’s future and boost tourism. Councillors approved the plan, saying it will “enhance” the building.
