Bloodhound boss named Top Gear Man of the Year
AWARD: Ian Warhurst, the Yorkshireman who is chief executive officer of the Bloodhound land speed record team, has been named Top Gear Man of the Year.
The award was given in recognition of his rescue of the Bloodhound car and completion of high speed testing which saw it reach 628mph. Mr Warhurst said: “What an honour to be recognised by the BBC Top Gear team.”
The team plans to set a new record in the next 12 to 18 months.
