Eddie Stobart gets £55m rescue bid
OFFER: Eddie Stobart shareholders have approved a £55m rescue sale in a bid to secure the future of its 6,500 employees.
The trucking firm had been on the brink of collapse after struggling to deal with a £200m debt pile and recent accounting errors.
Investors voted in favour of private equity firm Douglas Bay (DBay) Capital’s offer for the business in a crunch vote.
