Surprise find saves Christmas cheer

YORK: A surprise find from traffic wardens has helped to restore a little festive cheer.

Police were called after wardens discovered cycle panniers at the side of the road and a package from a jewellers was found inside. The neighbourhood policing team revealed on Twitter that officers traced the owner and added: “Wife’s Christmas present – she was happy as well.”
