Students get taste of building industry

HALIFAX: Students were given a taster of the building industry at a special training day.

Calderdale Council is working with the construction company, Blacc, to transform the former library building, Northgate House, in Halifax into a new sixth form centre, offices and retail units. As part of the project, students from Trinity MultiAcademy Trust visited the site to try their hand at a range of skills from bricklaying to electrical wiring.
