Boris Johnson, Jeremy Corbyn and Jo Swinson lay out their plans for Yorkshire
Shane Tavinder. I think they should just let Yorkshire become independent. We make more money than Scotland, pay more taxes than Scotland and have a higher population than Scotland.
Edward Thornton. No going back to the bad old days of 1979 during Labour’s Winter of Discontent, when the dead were left unburied, the streets were full of rotting, stinking refuse uncollected, industry shut down half the week, and the country was in darkness as the National Grid was in danger of running out of power.
Dave Schofield. All this scaremongering about Labour borrowing when in fact the Tories have always borrowed more and have in fact doubled the national debt.
Undecided voters in places like Wakefield may yet save Labour’s ‘red wall’ from crumbling
Christine Landon. Please Wakefield – stop voting for the same old, same old!
Phillip Hewitt. Personally I’ll never vote for Labour with that team in charge.
Nik Porter. Remember, to benefit from voting Tory you have to be stupidly rich.
Alan Mitton. Fingers crossed Mary Creagh loses her seat for betraying the referendum vote of her constituents.
Being stuck in miles of traffic has made me realise farmers are being made scapegoats over the environment crisis – Jill Thorp
Mark Utting. Cars make next to no impact compared to planes and especially ships.
Jonathan Ambler. The huge numbers of large SUVs with one occupant gets me.
David Watson. There would be much less congestion in Leeds if our council didn’t actively want it to justify imposing congestion charging on everyone.
Emma Rock. Our tiny island is bursting at the seams with the mass immigration we have witnessed these last 20 years. The infrastructure of this tiny island literally cannot cope.
Steve Thanner. We need to improve rail journeys. If people question Corbyn’s plan to nationalise railways you can just look at the German structure.
