Standing up for the NHS

-

From: Sally Blackburn, Harrogate.

ALL the reporting of the NHS is bad – my recent experience was excellent.

I had a pain in my breast and a rash. After two weeks I got an appointment two days later at my practice in Harrogate and the young lady doctor examined me.

She could not feel anything but referred me to the hospital and gave me cream for the rash.

I was seen two weeks later by a breast surgeon, re-examined with negative findings but he arranged a mammogram which was done and reported back to him within an hour.

Negative. He reassured me but said to see my GP if it worsened. The pain and rash has gone.

How is that for the NHS at its best here in Harrogate?
