Sec­tor spe­cial­ist has over­seen rapid growth at tele­coms firm

WHP Tele­coms pro­vides ser­vices for the plan­ning, de­sign, ac­qui­si­tion, de­ploy­ment, up­grade and main­te­nance of mo­bile net­work masts, an­ten­nae and base sta­tions for all the ma­jor mo­bile op­er­a­tors in the UK mar­ket.

It em­ploys more than 300 peo­ple and is head­quar­tered in War­ring­ton.

The busi­ness op­er­ates na­tion­ally with sites in Leeds,

Glas­gow, Birmingham and Heathrow.

The com­pany com­pleted a man­age­ment buy­out backed by Equi­s­tone Part­ners Europe in March 2018.

Rob Pot­ter, the com­pany’s chief ex­ec­u­tive, has worked in the tele­coms sec­tor for 25 years.

He has also led man­age­ment buy­outs in 2008, 2015 and 2018. Un­der his lead­er­ship, the busi­ness has grown to 500 staff.
