Voters face polling day rain and wind

FORECAST: Voters seeking to cast ballots will have to brave the elements, as polling day is forecast to be wet and windy.

Gusts of up to 30mph will batter parts of Britain on Thursday during the first December General Election in almost 100 years but Yorkshire is predicted to be wet with “moderate” breezes.
