School’s gym for public use to close

ROTHERHAM: A school gym which has been open for public use is to close this year – a decision announced just as plans for hundreds of new homes in the vicinity were announced.

Thrybergh Academy and Sports College says it is “financially unsustainable” to continue public access to the premises and that the academy has to “prioritise the education of Thrybergh community students”. The academy says weekend and evening lettings will continue.
