Youths ‘planning taxi attacks’ held

LEEDS: A number of youths said to be planning to attack taxis were detained by police.

Police said a gang of eight threw stones and rocks at cars, buses and taxis at the weekend. Plain clothes officers carried out an operation in south Seacroft and on York Road (A64) in Killingbeck to detain youths planning further attacks on taxis.

West Yorkshire Police said some of the youths were taken home to parents and inquiries into the attacks were continuing.
