City seminars on inequalities and health
HEALTH INEQUALITIES in a Yorkshire city are to be the subject of a series of seminars today examining the socio-economic factors that may play a part.
Academics and researchers are to come together virtually for an event from the University of Bradford to look at reducing inequality in the city.
Hosted by Professor Marcus Rattray, the head of the university’s school of pharmacy and medical sciences, the seminars will reflect on community impacts.
The first will look at the impact of a healthy childhood, in ensuring the best start in life, chaired by the director of Bradford Institute for Health Research, Prof John Wright.
Further sessions on environment and communities will be chaired by Prof Prathivadi Anand, a professor in public policy and sustainability, and ViceChancellor Prof Shirley Congdon.
