Bank fraud

YOUR correspondent Martin Phillips tells us that there is a very low level of cheque fraud so this must be the safest way to bank, but there might be a simpler explanation.

I haven’t written a cheque in months. However, I do use online banking many times a week and use my credit card daily. Perhaps the level of fraud simply reflects the amount of use of each of these types of banking?
