Use recycling bins at home

THE Yorkshire Post (April 5) lambasts Michael Gove for not having implemented a plastic bottle deposit scheme to incentivise people to recycle them. But why is this necessary at all?

All houses have – or can have – a plastic, glass bottles and cans recycling bin, so why is there any need for a deposit scheme?

If at home use the bin. If going out and you can’t find a bin, bring it home and put it in your own bin.

It’s not rocket science. It is the lazy, idiotic and selfish few who litter with total disregard to the rest of us, and they probably couldn’t care less about any sort of deposit scheme.
