Foggy notion

I WRITE in connection with GP Taylor’s column (The Yorkshire Post, April 7) where he disparages the modern use of the word ‘journey’.

He contrasts this use with the journeys undertaken by Ernest Shackleton and Phileas Fogg, which he describes as “long and arduous events”. Phileas Fogg is a Jules Verne work of fiction and so is not an ‘event’.
