BEAUTY KNOWHOW: OUR PICK OF THE BTES GIFT VEANDT CALENADRS

-

We wouldn’t normally dream of mentioning Christmas – we agree, October is far too early. But we’d be doing you a disservice if we didn’t mention the launch of the latest beauty advent calendars. They sell out super quickly, so being timely is key. One of the best comes from Liberty (1). Worth more than £600, its signature-print boxes boast products from luxe brands including Votary, Hourglass, Ren Clean Skincare, Egyptian Magic and Le Labo. Liberty’s advent calendar is such a hit – its last one sold out in just three days – that this year’s offering is available from Wednesday, with the store opening an hour and a half early at 8.30am and online ordering available from midnight. But, be warned, while Liberty has doubled the stock this year, these calendars are unlikely to hang around – so be quick. £195, libertylondon.com. Marks & Spencer’s calendar (2) has also gained a cult following and is a snip at £35 – though you can only get your hands on one if you spend £35 or more on womenswear, homeware or beauty. This year’s edition, which comes with goodies by brands such as Nuxe, Eyeko and This Works, is worth more than £280. Available from 1 November, marksandspencer.com. It’s worth checking out Net-a-Porter’s chic monotone offering (3), with products by Charlotte Tilbury, Oribe and Omorovicza, but be quick – it’s already available! £150, net-a-porter.com. The John Lewis version (4) is out now, too, featuring 25 full- and trial-size products, with 20 calendars also containing £100 of hidden beauty vouchers. £165, johnlewis.com. And, of course, there’s the YOU advent calendar (5), which has £255-worth of goodies by brands such as Dr PawPaw, Charles Worthington and Moroccanoil. Only £60, box.you.co.uk/advent. To enjoy an extra £10 off plus free delivery quote code TREAT10 (valid until 31 October).
