I hate my hair
I lost so much hair after having my babies, I chopped it off and restarted. I thought being blonde would be easier with the grey coming through, but it’s not. With brown hair you just do the roots. My hair is hard to control, so I need the right products. I like Oribe Hair Alchemy Resilience Shampoo [right]. I also brush through a Philip Kingsley mask (try the Elasticizer Deep-conditioning Treatment), and let it dry by itself.
Botox?
Nah! Whatever makes you happy, but you can see there’s nothing in my forehead – it moves and has lines. I don’t want to put things in my face. I take Absolute Collagen sachets, Heights Omega 3 supplements and a probiotic. But we can’t stop getting older. I love Cindy Crawford’s quote: ‘Ageing is what happens if we’re lucky.’
My desert island skin product
Sunscreen. I’ve been wearing it since I was 30. Before that I was like, ‘Let’s get tanned!’ My body goes brown but my face doesn’t, so I’d skip using SPF. After I had my son, I had post-natal pigmentation the shape of Australia on my forehead. Now I wear a hat and use Dermaceutic Sun Ceutic SPF 50+. I also fake-tan my face to match my body. I get heat rashes, and find that Institut Esthederm products really work for me.
Top beauty hack?
Microblading my eyebrows has changed my life. I have very little hair there and it’s blonde – but now I have brows! I go to Nez Hasan (nezhasan.com). She also does 3D areola tattoos for cancer patients after breast surgery.
My best budget buys
Hello Sunday Lipbalm SPF 50 [£7] – I get cold sores in the sun, so it’s a game changer. Also Nivea Rich Nourishing Body Lotion [from £2].
The truth about my bum lift
I’ve never had one! However, I once told a facialist I’d had BBL and she thought I meant a Brazilian bum lift. But BBL is also a laser treatment that helps with pigmentation. It turns the patches darker – like bits of pepper – then they flake off.
Biggest disasters?
I once got highlights and a perm to be like Kylie on that first album cover. I also used to wear brown eyeshadow right up to my brows.
What am I conscious of?
My neck, since entering my late 40s. If my camera isn’t at the right angle for Zoom… my god! I like Absolute Collagen Deep Lift Neck & Dec cream and I want to try Morpheus 8 [a microneedling and radio-frequency treatment]. I hear it’s amazing.
My keep-fit go-tos
I do functional training. I lift light weights and work with a personal trainer – he’s Matt’s mate – two or three times a week. I also try to do reformer pilates twice a week. It’s hard, but worth it.
