Somer­ley­ton Hall in 6XIIRON LV RQH VXFK SODFH D PDJQLÀFHQW KRPH WKDW has in­spired a long line of cre­atives. The team be­hind this shoot de­cided to let it de­ter­mine their di­rec­tion.

“It was im­por­tant to com­ple­ment the stately hall and in­clude as­pects that cap­tured the lux­u­ri­ous set­ting and sur­rounds,” says stylist Susie Young of Knot & Pop. “We drew on the con­cept of the muse, and how peo­ple and places can in­spire cre­ativ­ity.”

The beau­ti­ful per­gola, in the hall’s cel­e­brated gar­dens, was trans­formed into a cer­e­mony space with plenty of blooms and green­ery. “Jo Flow­ers worked DOO PDQQHU RI ÁRZHUV DQG IROLDJH LQWR WKH VWUXFWXUH to cre­ate the per­fect frame for the vows,” says Susie.

In­side the dra­matic glass-roofed Orangery, an op­u­lent feel was cre­ated through care­fully cu­rated dé­cor. “This mag­i­cal place is the per­fect back­drop for the wed­ding feast,” says Susie. “Cut glass was mixed with gold cut­lery and hand-dyed nap­kins by Silk & Wil­low.” Flick­er­ing can­dles brought ro­mance.
