You and Your Wedding - - Snowy Retreats -

Set around a glacier lake in an unspoilt alpine park in the South Tyrol region, San Luis is a cluster of dreamy wooden chalets and treehouses. It’s a two-hour drive from Verona airport, but you can spend that time admiring the stunning backdrop of the mountains and JHWWLQJ \RXU ÀOO RI SLQH IUHVK DLU

There are 16 treehouses and 22 chalet rooms, with everything from single studios to two-storey spaces. Many come with their own hot tubs and saunas. The resort’s showstopper has to be the unbelievable spa area in the main clubhouse, where you can sink into the most comfortable sunloungers and relax E\ WKH ÀUH RU WUHDW \RXU VNLQ LQ the sauna and steam room. The central pool is both indoor and outdoor, with a portion extending all the way to the middle of the lake outside. Must-try treatments include an anti-ageing facial and the miracle-working physio massage.

The region’s endless hiking trails are on your doorstep. It’s worth the trek to Wurzer-alm 1707, a restaurant located at 1,707 metres, where you can treat yourself to a hearty portion of dumplings. If you’re after adventure, book in for an ice-climbing session and then reward your efforts with an ice cream back at the resort.

An extensive breakfast buffet, based on South Tyrolean food, is delivered to you each morning. When you wake up, you are greeted by a wonderful array of fruits, pastries, breads and fresh eggs for you to prepare in your own kitchen. In the evening, you can choose to dine wherever you like – in the intimate restaurant area, on the terrace, or in the comfort of your own chalet. The menu changes nightly, but you can always expect the most exquisite Italian cheeses and meats to appear. Everything is focused on local ingredients, bringing together tastes from the Mediterranean and the Alps, to stunning effect.
