While dogs at polling stations have been a social media sensation here in the UK, it was a cat taking the starring role in the Czech Republic! Oldrich, a therapy cat in a nursing home, took over when the building was used as a polling station. He perched himself on the all important ballot box and, as seen in the inset picture, wandered across the desk where the staff would register people in to vote in the regional and senate elections.
