AIR GUN LICENSING
Iwas so pleased to see the news story about air gun licensing (‘Renewed calls for air gun licensing’) in the
May issue.
My two-year-old cat Poppet was killed last November after being shot by an air gun. She made it home and died during surgery. She was a rescue cat and I had only had her for 10 short months but she was adorable.
The police were kind but it wasn’t taken particularly seriously.Two other cats have been shot in the area and a cat has been snared round the throat. Local rehoming centres have now deemed the area unsuitable for rehoming cats due to ‘extreme animal cruelty. ’Thank you for raising this subject.
