Fisher can also be found enjoying himself on the couple’s boat, which they regularly take out with them and he enjoys having a splash about in the water while wearing his special life jacket.
Finn and Lo enjoy taking Fisher on road trips across the US now that he has gotten used to their campervan and Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted.
He not only has his own cosy bed in the back that he snoozes in on long journeys, but has his own hammock that sticks inside the van window to watch the world go by.
He has travelled across so many states, including Georgia,
Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey — he even has his own passport which has a stamp in for each state he has visited.
His favourite place to visit, Lo said, was the stunning White Sands beach in New Mexico, which is made of pure gypsum and is miles of powder-soft, white sand.
“He absolutely loves it as the sand is so fine it just slides right off his fur,” she said.
When the family are on the road, Fisher will soon let them know if he needs to stop and use his litter tray so they will take him for a comfort break on his harness to explore his surroundings.
Next on the family’s agenda is to head off for a trip to Key West in Florida this month.
“We always make sure he’s comfortable though,” says Lo.“It gets so hot in Florida we have to make sure he doesn’t get too hot so we have the air conditioning on if he needs it.”
Fisher has now become something of an internet star too and his Instagram account has almost 30,000 followers.
