INDOOR CATS
A much larger impact of Covid will have been experienced by cats kept permanently indoors, or those such as senior cats or ‘fine weather’ outdoor roamers who choose to stay at home anyway.
Owners being at home more during Covid-induced restrictions has brought added benefits in terms of play and social contact opportunities, but also more disturbance to their routines. Some may not have appreciated the
extra attention and found it difficult to find quiet retreats. And like many owners, some cats will also have gained a bit of extra weight from being over-fed as owners tried to entice them into their company more and teach them tricks with food rewards.
