Cats hate water, right? Well, not all cats clearly with this feline enjoying a swim in the sea!

There are several reasons suggested for why most cats won’t tolerate water, from it weighs them down and their coat isn’t as waterproof as their canine counterparts, to it’s an inherited trait from their wildcat ancestors who came from arid countries.

Some cats though don’t mind water.There are breeds, including the Maine Coon, who have a more water-resistant coat so are more inclined.Whatever this kitty’s reason is, they look to be enjoying their swim — and are not put off by the photographer!
