PURRSONALITY
The breed is active and agile, and enjoys games and playing.
They have powerful back legs and can jump and climb, so it is best to provide them with climbing frames and shelves. If allowed outside, they will happily climb trees and hunt. The combination of high energy and love of being up high can make them careless of ornaments or other things in their way, so it is best to keep this intelligent and active cat amused and distracted with plenty of toys and interactive games, such as fetch.
They appear to get along well with dogs, and are sometimes said to be dog-like themselves, but introductions should be carefully made. They are affectionate and enjoy a cuddle, but on their terms, and introductions to small children in the family should always be supervised.
One unusual characteristic is that they seem to have a love of water (they are sometimes called the ‘swimming cat’) and are strong and confident swimmers. They have been known to join their owner in the bath or shower; and it’s probably best to keep the toilet
