Mr Murray is an eight-year-old Maine Coon from Rye in East Sussex who lives with Derek Chenery and his family. He has a long coat, synonymous with his breed, and Derek initially struggled to find any grooming salons competent enough or willing to keep his cat’s coat maintained.
He started to take Mr Murray to Absolutely Animals in London three years ago and has never looked back. Mr Murray visits the salon every 10 weeks or so and Derek maintains his coat between grooms. Derek said: “The team at Absolutely Animals love him to bits. He really enjoys his visits there and loves the grooming process.They do a fantastic job with him.”
Despite the long journey of one and a half hours drive and the same time at the salon, Derek feels it is well worth it. He pays an average of £70 per session depending on how much work is required.
“Mr Murray enjoys himself and I get the chance to do a few jobs while I am waiting for him and then we take a leisurely drive home.”
