Ahost of spe­cial fea­tures are be­ing lined up to cel­e­brate this year’s 60th an­niver­sary of The Game Fair - and you can win tick­ets to this fab­u­lous event (en­ter be­low). First held in 1958, the three-day an­nual fes­ti­val of the great Bri­tish coun­try­side is at Ra­gley Hall in War­wick­shire from Fri­day 27 to Sun­day 29 July.

Ra­gley Hall it­self will be mark­ing 60 years since it first opened its doors to the pub­lic.

With more than 20 gun­dog breeds, from Ger­man short­haired point­ers to Nova Sco­tia duck tolling re­triev­ers, un­der one roof at the pop­u­lar sport­ing dog pav­il­ion, a Fal­conry Vil­lage which has tripled in size and two evenings of live jazz mu­sic pre­sented by the in­ter­na­tion­ally renowned Ron­nie Scott’s, there is some­thing for ev­ery­one is this year’s bumper pro­gramme.

Else­where, world cham­pion fly caster Hy­wel Mor­gan will be show­ing off his skills and of­fer­ing visi­tors the chance to learn from him at one of two ded­i­cated cast­ing pools at the fish­ing vil­lage. Award-win­ning chef, au­thor and tele­vi­sion pre­sen­ter James Martin is an­other star at­trac­tion, min­gling with din­ers and shar­ing his passion for the coun­try­side as the face of The James Martin Game Fayre Restau­rant.

Firm favourites in­clud­ing Gun­mak­ers’ Row, the Subaru Shoot­ing Line, have-a-go archery and air­guns, the Carter Jonas Game Fair Theatre and the 4x4 course, once again, fea­ture in the lineup for 2018.
