PLAIN GREEDY!

With reference to Steven Jones’ letter (June issue) regarding dog prices, my rescue dog died in 2019 and I bought a Shih Tzu X Chihuahua puppy for £350. Now lockdown is easing, I was thinking of getting another dog of the same type.

Browsing online I find that this cross-breed is now selling for between £1,200 and £2,000. How can they warrant these prices in just two years? It’s just a plain greedy way of making money. These people cannot

be dog lovers and are simply using their dogs as money making machines. Glennys Butler, Lincolnshire.
